TC Guidelines for Hiking During the Pandemic
1. A maximum of 10, including the leader, will be allowed on each hike.
2. HIKERS WILL SIGN UP IN ADVANCE VIA A LINK ON THE CLUB CALENDAR.
IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO SUBMIT THEIR NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS.
a. Due to the limited numbers allowed on a hike, CLUB MEMBERS
may register for A MAXIMUM OF 2 HIKES IN APRIL.
b. PLEASE NOTIFY THE LEADER IN ADVANCE IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL.
3. No guests are allowed at this time.
4. Start times for hikes may not always be 9 AM. Leaders may need to adjust start
time to allow for trailhead parking or weather.
5. No carpooling will be arranged. Participants are expected to meet at the trailhead.
6. Masks must be carried at all times and worn when within 6 ft of others. * **
7. A minimum of 6 feet from others must be maintained at all times
a. Lunch spots will be chosen to allow for adequate social distancing
b. No sharing of food or treats
8. Hikers are encouraged to bring their own first aid kits, wipes, hand sanitizers, as
well as the usual water, lunch, snacks, and poles.
9. Leaders are free to choose their hike destinations and encouraged to include
some hikes within Rossmoor.
* Every Californian must wear a mask or face covering in all public and workplace settings where there is a high
risk of exposure. This is more important than ever with new, more easily transmitted variants of COVID-19
on the rise. (Official California Mask Mandate.)
** Some leaders may require that masks, covering both nose and the mouth, be worn al all times, except
while eating and drinking. This requirement will be clearly stated in advance of their hike.
