Incident reports will be kept for 3 years. 4. Gifts for safari leaders was discussed. It was recommended that in future gifts would be eliminated, with appreciation shown in other ways. Don Geahry and Stanley and Janet Maleski will receive a letter from the board for their outstanding service on the Santa Cruz safari. 5. A request to offer one cocktail per person at the coming Patio Party was discussed. As of this year, we have a policy of party participants bringing their own alcoholic beverages to club events if desired, but that alcohol not be included in party budgets. Result of the discussion is that the policy remains unchanged, with the beverage offered being non-alcoholic. 6. Backpacker magazine, that recognized the Rossmoor Hiking Club recently, is sponsoring a National Summit Day on August 3. It’s been suggested that our hiking groups could sign up to climb a peak to represent the Trails Club.
The meeting was adjourned by vice-president Lins at 4:19 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Marilyn Raffinot, Secretary
