Make second right onto Dundee. Make Right into Parking lot. Bathrooms are in shopping plaza across the street. From parking lot go back to HWY1 traffic light Continue across HWY1 on Fassler Ave. Follow Fassler Ave to the end and park on the street as close to trail head as possible.

Optional Commernts
There are no toilets on the ridge so a stop at Rockaway Beach  before the hike is recommended. At the gate at the end of Fassler, follow to the single track, which climbs 300 ft in o.5 miles to a gate.  This is the start of the Baquiano Ridge trial.  Follow this trail until the junction with the Bay Ridge and Sweeney Ridge Trails (about 1 mile from the start of the Baquiano Ridge trail). Go straght ahead along a small track to a clearing and some monuments. Have a snack (too early for lunch) enjoy the view and observe the monuments.  Return to the junction, turn left on Bay Ridge trail to Portola Gate.  When gate comes into view (approx 1.3 miles), look for a single track on the right going downhill.  Go right at each choice.  This trail will rejoin the Bay Ridge Trail.  Take Bay Ridge trail back to the monuments and have lunch at the snack spot. Go back down the the Baquiano Ridge trail to the gate.  Climb over the gate and return to Fassler where cars are parked.
